Rules & Regulations

By signing below, I acknowledge and agree to the following rules of The Local Voice competition:

● Any contestant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all competition events.

● No instruments are permitted during performances.

● The competition is solo performances only; no duets or group acts are allowed.

● The competition will take place over multiple weeks, and advancement is based on judges’ scores and competition guidelines:

○ Weeks 1-15 Preliminaries: Weekly 1st place Winner will receive $100 and a Platinum Pass to Week 16

○ Weeks 16-18 Quarterfinals: Singers will perform 2 songs and 10 will advance to Week 19.

○ Week 19 Semifinals: Singers will perform 3 songs and 5 will advance to Week 20.

○ Week 20 Finals: Singers will perform 4 songs for the prize money:

■ 1st Place $10,000

■ 2nd Place $500

■ 3rd Place $200

■ 4th Place $100

■ 5th Place $50

● Contestants will be evaluated using a scoring system determined by the judges, which may include (but is not limited to) vocal ability, pitch accuracy, stage presence, song choice, and overall performance. Contestants may request a copy of the weekly scoring template used by the judges for review and personal development.

● Scheduling, format, and scoring criteria are subject to change at the discretion of the competition organizers and contestants will be notified.

I understand and acknowledge that participation in The Local Voice includes receiving verbal feedback from judges. This feedback is intended to be constructive and professional and is part of the competitive and educational nature of the event.

Code of Conduct

I acknowledge that any form of disrespectful, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior toward contestants, judges, staff, volunteers, or any individual involved in the competition will not be tolerated. Failure to maintain respectful conduct may result in immediate removal from the competition without further participation.
